Mieli Luukinen is pursuing their Ph.D. degree at the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and Diagnostic Imaging Center of Kuopio University Hospital, as a member of the Sleep Technology and Analytics Research Group (STAR). Their Earlier studies were at Aalto University, where they received a B.Sc. (Tech.) degree in 2017, majoring in Engineering Physics and Minoring an Bioinformation Technology, and a M.Sc. (Tech.) degree in 2020, majoring in Human Neuroscience and Technology and minoring in Biosensing and Bioelectronics. In the Ph.D. work they focus on the interaction of brain and cardiovascular system in obstructive sleep apnea.
