University of Split School of Medicine

University of Split School of Medicine in Split, Croatia has been established as an independent faculty in 1997 and it is one of the key components of the University of Split. It comprises four integrated undergraduate and graduate study programs: Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Medical Studies in English, as well as three PhD programs and two masters degree study programs including Sleep Medicine in English language. Scientific research is an important component at the School of Medicine and is often empowered through international collaboration. Additionally, the Croatian Centre for Global Health and the Cochrane Croatia are integral parts of the School of Medicine. The majority of research activities is funded through national projects Croatian Science Foundation (CSS) and international projects via different funds from the EU. The School of Medicine provides administrative support for project management through its Research Office. The University of Split is the best ranked university in Croatia and steadily growing on the international ranking lists. According to the Times Higher Education list was between 501 and 601 ranked universities worldwide, and between 201-300 in life sciences.
