The University of Tartu

The University of Tartu (UTARTU) was founded in 1632. UTARTU offers 195 research-based graduate and postgraduate degree programs and deals with both fundamental and applied research. 14,000 students (incl. ca. 1,800 foreign students from 105 countries) study in four faculties (Arts and Humanities, Medicine, Science and Technology, Social Sciences). UTARTU is consistently ranked in the top 1.2% of the world’s universities in global rankings. UTARTU is also ranking 301st in the QS World University Rankings 2020 and the 301–350 range in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2018.
