Henna Pitkänen

Henna Pitkänen is currently pursuing her PhD degree at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF). She is working as an Early-Stage Researcher in the Sleep Technology and Analytics Research group (STAR) grouplocated partly at UEF and partly at the Diagnostic Imaging Center, Kuopio University Hospital. She receivedher BSc and MSc degrees in applied physics at the Department of Applied Physics, UEF, in 2018 and 2021, respectively. During her studies, she specialized in medical physics. She joined the STAR group as a summer worker in 2019, and her current research interests include the physiology, characteristics, and scoring of EEG arousals, as well as the implementation of machine learning methods in arousal-related analysis.
