Dr. Maria Oskarsdottir is an Assistant Professor at RU Department of Computer Science. She obtained her PhD in Business Analytics at the Faculty of Economics and Business of KU Leuven, Belgium, under the supervision of Professor Jan Vanthienen and Professor Bart Baesens and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Leuven research centre for insurance and financial risk analysis (Lrisk). She holds an MSc degree in mathematics from the Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. She conducts research in data science, data analytics and machine learning, where she focusses on network analysis, fin-tech, mobility and business analytics.
