Dr. Rejo Sund
Dr. Reijo Sund (ORCID 0000-0002-6268-8117), completed his MSc degree in statistics in 2000 and PhD in 2008. He has been an Adjunct Professor in applied statistics from the University of Helsinki since 2009. He worked as Senior Statistician and Research Director at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare until 2014, then as a head of the Centre for Research Methods at the University of Helsinki from 2014 to 2018. Since 2019 he has been a Professor of Register Studies at the University of Eastern Finland. His main research interests include the methodology of register-based research, analysis of large data sets combining data from various sources (such as registers and questionnaires), health economics, computational statistics as well as applied biostatistics, epidemiology, and health services research. Prof. Sund’s extensive expertise will be exploited especially in WP11 (Health economics and social impact). He has participated in numerous international collaboration projects utilising register-based data. Dr. Sund has more than 180 peer reviewed scientific publications (H-index = 27).
