The Pulmonary Research Institute At LungClinic Grosshansdorf

PRI is an academic research organisation founded in 1998 as a spin-off of the LungenClinic Grosshansdorf, a specialized 200 beds hospital for respiratory medicine. PRI is a clinical study centre focussing on clinical research in COPD and asthma (phase I-IV, more than 20 partners from pharmaceutical industry) and other lung diseases like bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and sleep apnea. Furthermore PRI is involved in observational cohort studies in COPD and asthma (collaborating partner of European Community Health Survey ECRHS I-III; collaborating partner of the German COPD comorbidity cohort COSYCONET). PRI is member Airway Research Center North (ARCN) within the German Center for Lung Research (DZL), which is an association of the leading university and non-university institutions dedicated to lung research in Germany funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education (BMBF).
