University of Crete
The University of Crete (UOC) strives for excellence in teaching, research, and community partnerships and aims to provide a secure and open teaching and learning environment for our students, to take a leading role in research and the resulting innovations, to promote the cultural, social and economic development of the region, and to develop and strengthen collaborations with other academic institutions within Greece, Europe, and worldwide. In July 2012, UOC was awarded the “HR Excellence in Research” logo by the European Commission. This is a recognition of UOC committed efforts in developing a Human Resource Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), designed to bring the practices and procedures within UOC more in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
